Course Description
Prerequisite: junior or senior standing
Do you know how much money it will take to live on your own? Do you understand how credit works? Are you ready to manage your money wisely? Do you know how to compare buy/lease options for a vehicle? In this online class you will work at your own pace to develop the strategies for managing your money, explore skills for wise use of credit, gain insight into different ways of saving for retirement, explore the fundamentals of insurance, learn how to rent an apartment, file income taxes, and create a budget. One meeting will occur before school ends in June to learn about course requirements, including the requirement that all summative assessments must be taken in person at Oregon High School.
