Course Description

Each high school summer school course is a make-up class for one-half credit. Students will complete coursework online in a traditional classroom setting at school. Students needing to make up course credit should enroll in High School Credit Recovery. Students will have up to 5 weeks to demonstrate proficiency in all class learning expectations in order to pass a class. Once the student has passed the class, they are no longer required to attend that class. Student work must be completed at school and cannot be completed off-campus.

High School Credit Recovery runs June 10-July 12 from 8:30-11:45. Students need to only sign up one time for High School Credit Recovery. Students may start an additional course if they have completed the previous course by June 30. Students may not enroll in High School Credit Recovery after June 30. The head teacher and counselor will ensure students take the appropriate classes at the high school. High school make-up courses may not be taken to achieve advanced or additional credits. Credit recovery courses are available at both Craig (CRA) and Parker (PAR) High Schools.

REQUIREMENTS: Credit recovery classes can only be taken to make up a failed class. A student must have previously taken and failed a class during the regular school year (having earned no credit) for the student to be eligible to enroll in the corresponding summer school course.
If a student does not finish the coursework and demonstrate proficiency in the 5 weeks, they will not receive credit or a passing grade for the class. Any appointments (including court) should be made for non-school hours. High school students enrolled in credit recovery courses who are not in their seat at the start of class will be considered tardy.
