Course Description

The resistance of bacteria to antibiotics is a current medical threat. And yet, there is hope in new areas of research that are helping to address this threat, including research that is led by students. In this experience, students will learn research skills and techniques to independently perform scientific experiments. Students have the opportunity to choose a project focused on finding new antibiotics or exploring how viruses can be used to kill antibiotic-resistant bacteria. This experience will include interactions with scientific experts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

This course is open to all high schools and will be held June 10-July 2 at Parker High School from 8 AM-12 PM.
